is a dynamic group of Optometry Clinics in Nova Scotia, That include the Miller Optometry group of clinics and our original flagship location Ocean Optometry.


Our patients and our team are the heart of our business, and we are looking for the right person to help us ensure our patient needs are met and expectations exceeded.

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, professional, and organized appointment booker.


As an appointment booker, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, and you will play a key role in ensuring their journey with us is positive and customized to their needs.


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments.
  • Reaching out to patients to welcome them back for exams when eligible.
  • Managing prebooked appointments and communicating with patients about them in a timely fashion.
  • Providing information about our services, fees and policies
  • Collecting and updating patient information and insurance details
  • Coordinating with Optometrists and other staff members
  • Handling patient enquires and complaints with professionalism and empathy and fielding to appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Liaising with Head Office team to ensure Optometrist diaries are correctly inputted and time off is blocked out appropriately.
This role could be for you if you possess the following:

  • A high school diploma and some post secondary training, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administration
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional telephone etiquette
  • A positive, energetic personality that is demonstratable in phone conversation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and can easily learn new systems.
  • Attention to detail, ability to stay highly organized while multitasking.
  • Commitment to growing and learning in your role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • A passion for providing exceptional patient experience and care.

Available shifts and compensation:
Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $ $17.00/hour.
