Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable
Quality Control Technician to join our local team.

As a QC Technician you will be responsible for aggregate sampling and testing as well as process control as part of the production team ensuring appropriate product quality.

What You'll Get To Do

Sampling and testing of all aggregate material produced at Heidelberg Materials pits by sieve analysis. Both Production samples and Shipping samples
Monitor and make minor adjustments to the production process to ensure aggregates continually meet current CSA standards.
Assisting in checking piles to minimize customer complaints.
Reporting quality or compliance concerns with a sense of urgency.
Maintaining precise records of checks and tests performed.
Periodic maintenance of computer and testing equipment.
Keeping the lab clean and wellorganized.
Participate in Heidelberg Materials Safety and Health Program.
Other duties as assigned.
Work in conjunction with production personnel to evaluate problems with quality.
Lead, Train, delegate tasks to Coop students through daily tasks and responsibilities
Test materials in both Quarry and Pit Operations

What We Are Looking For

High school diploma or GED required.
Demonstrated basic math skills.
Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team.
Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision.
Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather.
In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required.
