Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable
Quality Control Technician to join our local team.

As a QC Technician you will be responsible for aggregate sampling and testing as well as process control as part of the production team ensuring appropriate product quality.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Sampling and testing of all aggregate material produced at Heidelberg Materials pits by sieve analysis. Both Production samples and Shipping samples
  • Monitor and make minor adjustments to the production process to ensure aggregates continually meet current CSA standards.
  • Assisting in checking piles to minimize customer complaints.
  • Reporting quality or compliance concerns with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintaining precise records of checks and tests performed.
  • Periodic maintenance of computer and testing equipment.
  • Keeping the lab clean and wellorganized.
  • Participate in Heidelberg Materials Safety and Health Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Work in conjunction with production personnel to evaluate problems with quality.
  • Lead, Train, delegate tasks to Coop students through daily tasks and responsibilities
  • Test materials in both Quarry and Pit Operations

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills.
  • Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team.
  • Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision.
  • Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather.
  • In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required.
