Summary of position

Role and Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and repair for heavy equipment with mínimal supervision
Wide knowledge of the CAT, Cummins, Deere, Komatsu, Kenworth and Terrax
Identify and repair deficiencies in a timely manner
Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
Show continuous effort to improve operations by decreasing turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively with other members of the team
Analyze, troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Training and Education

Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic license paired with several years' experience in a heavy equipment operation
CVIP certification is an asset
Familiarity with the following vendor systems: CAT SIS and E.T. Deere Service Advisor and Cummins Insight
Ability to work both in a team and individually in a fastpaced environment
Possess valid driver's license, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 201
Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics, electrical and diagnostics
Experience with routine maintenance operations
Able to complete paperwork correctly and in a timely manner
Drive to be flexible and contribute to the success of the operations department
Be able to demonstrate assertiveness, critical thinking, and selfmotivation
Be able to work effectively in a team environment while exercising good judgment, common sense and conducting oneself in a professional manner
Selfcontrol under pressure and maintain a positive attitude towards fellow employees
Good interpersonal and oral communication skills
Ability to successfully manage heavy workloads with multiple priorities
Willing to work overtime
