Overview

The Pastry Cook is responsible for the execution of daily recipes to full-fill production orders and maintain a well stocked shop based on baking pars schedule.

Ultimate responsibility for the preparation of our core recipes.

Duties

Prepare a wide variety of doughnuts, glazes, and garnishes etc. following traditional and modern recipes
Able to develop, design, and/or create new ideas and items for monthly feature flavours
Ensure excellent quality throughout the offerings
Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products
Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and alert chef of shortages
Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to manager(s)
Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards
Guide and motivate fellow cooks, bakers and staff to work more efficiently
Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guide
Made sure all product in the walkin was organized and rotated, FIFO
Maintained a clean and safe work station at all times
Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently
