The Legal Services Department has an opportunity available for a Lawyer to represent the WCB at all court levels with a concentration in plaintiff's personal injury litigation and workers' compensation law.

This position may also include providing legal support services for:
FOIPP issues; human rights law; health law; employment law; administrative law; corporate commercial contracts; and general litigation.

Your experience and skills:

Active member of the Law Society of Alberta with one to three years postarticling experience.
Solid knowledge and interest in personal injury law.
Demonstrated research, writing and advocacy skills.
Superior decision making, interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
Original and innovative thinking to achieve desired results in legal cases is required.
Travel to judicial centres throughout Alberta may occasionally be required.

Salary:
$92,678 to $115,813 per annum
