Job DescriptionThe Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), North East Area – Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is seeking applicants for a permanent, 1 FTE Emergency Medicine Specialist.
The position will consist of 8.5 and 9 hour shifts for 1,440 hours annually.As part of the Emergency Medicine team, you will be responsible for providing clinical medical services to individuals presenting to the emergency department, including trauma, stroke and pediatric care.
Job Qualifications
The Saskatchewan Health Authority's Regional Health Centre in Prince Albert, North East Area requires a Emergency Medicine Specialist.
The candidate must have a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada in Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM).
The successful candidate must be registered and licensed to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
Physicians must maintain membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association and must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The successful candidate is required to hold current certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Ultrasound skills are an asset and will be required or expected to obtain.
