    About the client and role

    A dynamic architectural firm with multiple offices seeks an experienced contract administrator to join their team of CAs. You would be responsible for site visits and contract documentation for an assigned territory. Working with the Partners and Project Architects, the CCA ensures high-quality technical standards are met. The firm will consider a one-time relocation fee for the right candidate based in Toronto.

    What they are looking for
  • Minimum 5-7 years work experience; Architectural Technologist, Bachelor of Architecture credentials; preference to candidates with CCCA training from the CSC or OAA registered candidates
  • Driver's license; ability to travel to sites; occasionally stay overnight (costs covered by the employer)
  • Somone experienced leading & monitoring medium to large projects ($20-$120 million) from construction to close-out; a PDF sheet of projects from the past 5 years, ideally in long-term care, senior homes, university or llarge-scale mixed-use buildings
  • Solid OBC and building science fundamentals; ability to provide design feedback and anticipate design issues to suggest substitutions that meet design specifications
  • Persons familiar with CCDC contract documentation; with CCDC-5B; different project types
  • Ensure high-quality drawings and documentation to reduce rework, errors and omissions
  • Strong troubleshooting; the ability to deal with headstrong personalities; solve evolving design needs that meet budget and timelines
  • Solid Revit; Bluebeam, PM software such as Wrike; experience in cloud based CCA software such as Rform
