We are looking for an Associate Manager, Investment & Retirement Solutions, for our Freedom Experience team within Group Customer. The Investment & Retirement Solutions (IRS) team serves plan members and clients by building solid and trustworthy relationships.

We provide solutions based on unbiased, sound investment guidance and education, helping members achieve their financial goals and allowing them to retire in comfort and with confidence.

An exciting opportunity exists to be part of a growing team of professionals in in our fast-growing Freedom Experience team within the Group Customer Division.


What you will do

  • The Associate Manager, Investment & Retirement Solutions will provide leadership and direction to a team of Investment & Retirement Specialists and / or Investment & Retirement Consultants
  • In doing so, the Associate Manager will help the Investment & Retirement Solutions team achieve the team's annual retention objectives while providing outstanding service to our customers
  • This role will also play a key role in building new processes and approaches to foster customer loyalty, helping Canada Life retain plan member assets over the long term; the Associate Manager would continually seek out opportunities to grow our overall asset base, continually seeking innovative approaches while ensuring we operate as efficiently as possible
  • The Associate Manager will collaborate within the team and with other departments to help develop and execute innovative strategies and processes for the entire IRS team
  • This role will support the AVP, Investment & Retirement Solutions in leading team meetings, developing team members and nurturing a collaborative, supportive environment
  • As a talent leader, this individual's focus will be on the coaching and development of their team and fostering a culture of high performance, team engagement and care for our customers

  • Strong understanding of Group Retirement Services business and key stakeholders
  • Postsecondary education or equivalent work experience
  • 510 years in the Canadian insurance and/or financial industry
  • Industry designations RPA, GBA and CFP are considered an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
