Description

• Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries. Moves them to and from storage areas and loading docks into trucks or storage facility.

• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouse
• Unload shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances
• Checking loads are secure
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Follow all instructions provided by Warehouse Manager or Plant Manager

• High school diploma or previous warehouse experience
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe environment
• Good math, language and reading skills required
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Forklift certification
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
• Ability to work in cold environment
• Having a good sense of balance
• Having goodeye hand foot coordination
• Ability to asses weights and judge distances and height
• Working with large groups of people

• 8 hour shift
