***ECCO Custom Metal Fabricators is a full service sheet metal and fabrication facility located in Saskatoon. We specialize in custom and specialty metal fabricating. Providing product to various industries including but not limited to the HVAC industry. We use modern computerized equipment, sheet metal forming tools and various welding equipment. Our facility specializes in metal working with carbon steel, galvanized, stainless, aluminum and other specialty steels.


The Sheet Metal Worker will fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, and furnace casings.


Work may involve any of the following:

setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms.

Operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces.


  • Operate forming, shearing, cutting and punch equipment
  • Operate computerized laser or plasma equipment to cut sheet metal simple and complex parts profiles with the support of our CAD team
  • Operate light metalworking machines
  • Use of sheet metal hand tools
  • Organize tools and materials as needed
  • Read engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates.
  • Operate forklift to move materials as needed
  • Keep their working area clean and tidy
  • Provide job site support as needed
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary Education is preferred
  • 23 years' experience as Sheet metal work experience is preferred
  • Must possess strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and work ethic
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • CAD experience is an asset
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision in a busy environment; as well as ability to work within a team
  • Has a strong focus on quality and detail
  • Works to high degree of safety standards and abides to safety procedures
  • Highly motivated and the able to perform work that is of high quality
