About the Faculty of Social Sciences


The FSS comprises nine departments, schools and institutes, which offer undergraduate, masters and doctoral programs in both English and French.

With its 10,000 students, 260 full-time professors, and wide array of programs and research centres, the Faculty of Social Sciences plays a key role at the heart of the University of Ottawa.

Its graduate students are supervised by excellent researchers and undertake cutting-edge research in the Faculty's masters and Ph.
D. programs.

Position purpose:


Under the supervision of the CPSR's Director and within the standards of the profession of psychology, provides leadership in the management of clinical activities of psychological services, such as the coordination of the case assignment process, management of secure systems, and administrative operations, such as the management of financial, human and physical resources, to ensure the CPSR's optimal operations and to maintain the success of the clinical psychology program, while protecting the accreditation of the program.


What you will bring:

Knowledge of clinical psychology generally acquired with an undergraduate degree in psychology.


Knowledge and experience in administration principles and practices normally obtained through a post-secondary education or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years in an administrative position in a clinical setting.

Experience in operations management in a healthcare/clinical setting.

Excellent interpersonal and crisis management skills.

Experience working in an environment requiring the sharing and protection of highly confidential information.

Experience in planning, analyzing and controlling budgets using an electronic budgeting system.

Experience in human resources management (recruitment, supervision, evaluation and training).

Excellent judgment, tact and diplomacy.

Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.
