As a member of the Technical team and reporting to our Technical Manager, you will be performing a combination of sales and technical design.

You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and use your technical expertise to provide solutions and advice.


A brief overview of the day to day:

  • Prepare drawings, bill of materials, and cost estimates for new construction of residential and commercial buildings.
  • Ensure shop drawings account for client needs, building code specifications, relevant bylaws and industry best practices, and address issues and concerns as they arise.
  • Liaise with architects and engineers, providing information as required
  • Provide reports to measure and evaluate success of ongoing programs and activities.
  • Address technical inquiries from design community, clients and sales team with detailed information and/or drawings.
  • Build and maintain customer and dealer relationships.
  • Travel to job sites for site meetings, to consult with customers and evaluate site conditions.
  • Participate/attend industry related trade shows, seminars, symposiums, and online presentations.
  • Other jobrelated duties and special projects, as assigned.

As this is a highly technical role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology, Drafting Design, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D and 3D.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with concrete design would be an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with Revit would be an asset.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Knowledge of building codes and local bylaws.

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and writing, with the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully to internal and external stakeholders

Salary:
$55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
