As a member of the Technical team and reporting to our Technical Manager, you will be performing a combination of sales and technical design.
A brief overview of the day to day:
- Prepare drawings, bill of materials, and cost estimates for new construction of residential and commercial buildings.
- Ensure shop drawings account for client needs, building code specifications, relevant bylaws and industry best practices, and address issues and concerns as they arise.
- Liaise with architects and engineers, providing information as required
- Provide reports to measure and evaluate success of ongoing programs and activities.
- Address technical inquiries from design community, clients and sales team with detailed information and/or drawings.
- Build and maintain customer and dealer relationships.
- Travel to job sites for site meetings, to consult with customers and evaluate site conditions.
- Participate/attend industry related trade shows, seminars, symposiums, and online presentations.
- Other jobrelated duties and special projects, as assigned.
As this is a highly technical role, you will need:
- Diploma in Architectural Technology, Drafting Design, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D and 3D.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with concrete design would be an asset.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with Revit would be an asset.
- Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Knowledge of building codes and local bylaws.

- Ability to visually communicate concepts and construction ideas through highly detailed drawings
- Ability to work collaboratively and be a member of a small but mighty team
- Excellent communication, both verbal and writing, with the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully to internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills

$55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
