    Job Description

    As a Corporate Real Estate Welcome Desk Host at Equinix, you will be the vital face of our organization, responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience that delights all visitors and employees.

    Welcome Desk Responsibilities

    • Create a positive first impression at the office front desk/entry area, projecting a welcoming attitude with a warm smile and open body language.
    • Answer customer questions related to the building, including wayfinding, policies, and procedures, and etiquette.
    • Notify Equinix employee hosts of guest arrivals on-site.
    • Maintain awareness of potential office security issues, communicate concerns to local CRE metro lead, building security when appropriate, and risk management team management tool, ensuring compliance with company policies.
    • Keep the lobby orderly and presentable, moving deliveries or broken items out of sight immediately.

    Events and Employee Engagement

    • Built a welcoming community environment amongst customers through events.
    • Plan and support coordination, promotion, set-up, and clearing of on-site CRE-led or supported events.
    • Assist with scheduling and managing meeting rooms, including arranging necessary equipment, supplies, and catering for All Hands events.
    • Partner with We Are Equinix and Equinix Employee Connection Network teams to create inclusive events.

    Office Communications

    • Create fun and informative communications for office events and information using Outlook, Viva Engage, and Office Raven tools.

    Building Operations

    • Receive deliveries of external and inter-office mail and support employees on mail and shipping requirements as needed.
    • Provide direction and information to vendors, service providers, and Corporate Real Estate staff to ensure excellent coordination.
    • Assist with the office ticketing system and follow up on ticket status, assigning tickets to the correct CRE team member or rerouting to the correct department.

    Business Continuity & Compliance

    • Represent the safety committee team as required.
    • Maintain proficiency in fire, safety, security, and emergency procedures according to the Playbook.

    The ideal candidate will have customer service or hospitality experience, effective communication skills, and a welcoming attitude.
