Your opportunity:
The Department of Medicine (DOM) is one of the largest in North America, with 830 full-time faculty members, 1,000 postgraduate trainees, and 20 specialty and sub-specialty divisions located across six fully-affiliated hospitals, four community-affiliated hospitals and more than a dozen additional clinical practice sites.
This research generates new knowledge with the goal of meaningfully impacting internal medicine training and the care and health outcomes of patients and their families.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Determining logístical details and activities for events and programming
- Conducting postevent evaluation, analysis and recommendations for changes
- Researching and analyzing potential research awards and prizes and recommending academics for nomination
- Supporting committees and writing summaries of committee decisions and writing nominations for various awards
Essential Qualifications:
- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum three years' experience in event coordination, including registration and postevent evaluation, within a University, teaching hospital or comparable environment
- Demonstrated experience coordinating event logistics and supporting committees
- Experience in the administration and coordination of awards
- Experience drafting, editing, formatting event marketing materials and writing award nominations
- Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web based video conference platforms (Zoom, Teams)
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills, and the ability to deliver high quality work in an environment of overlapping timesensitive tasks
- Customer service oriented, and the ability to communicate information in a professional manner
- Creative and a selfstarter
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively, and the ability to relate to diverse groupsof people
