About You
You are a self-directed and experienced Controller with the ability to oversee all financial, accounting and human resources activities. Responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.

You will also manage key areas within the human resources department, including policy and procedure compliance and ongoing maintenance of HR practices.

You possess a "roll up your sleeves" attitude with a history of producing results.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Full cycle accounting functions day to day processing of transactions and updating accounting records, monitoring bank accounts, completing monthly reconciliations, managing financial reporting, payroll functions (ADP) and overseeing accounts receivables.
  • Mentoring and supervising 2 direct reports.
  • Financial statements prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Assemble information for and liaise with external auditors.
  • Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to the owner.
  • Cash flow forecasting and budgeting prepare short and longterm cash flow analysis, annual budgets and other adhoc financial analysis as required.
  • Manage the ERP system (NetSuite) and processes associated with the sales cycle.
  • Complete monthly government reporting and remittances for GST/HST, WCB, EHT, and other provincial/federal/state taxes as required.
  • Operational improvement continually review the organization's processes and procedures and provide input and guidance on optimizing operational functions.
  • Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Work with other members of the management team to develop and report on key KPI's.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5 plus years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA and/or CMA preferred.
  • Proficient in modern ERP Systems (SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite, etc). Experience in NetSuite preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
  • Willingness to be "hands on" and help out to get the job done
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Salary:
$90,000.00 per year
