    The Drug Program Advisor, Pharmaceutical Reviews is accountable to conceptualize, develop, implement, and monitor projects, programs, and/or initiatives to address issues related to the Reimbursement Review and Optimal Use (OU) programs and issues raised by federal, provincial, and territorial drug plans.

    The individual will collaborate externally with manufacturers, health ministry staff, Health Canada representatives, CDA expert and advisory committee members, and internal CDA staff to identify policy issues and develop strategic solutions.

    conceptualizing, developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic projects for the Reimbursement Review and OU programs, incorporating input and feedback received from the Executive team, managers, advisory committees, and key partners as required
    leading drug directorate–specific work related to the adjustments to current Reimbursement Review and OU policies and procedures, and linking with internal CDA staff to implement work plans and move forward with changes as required
    providing input to the Director, Pharmaceutical Reviews to help and inform the development of CDA's strategic, business, and operational plans as required

    facilitating the collection of Reimbursement Review–related metrics working in collaboration with the CDA Evaluations Officer to meet corporate needs for performance measurement and reporting.

    the minimum requirement of a graduate degree in a relevant field, including pharmacy, public policy, epidemiology, or biomedical sciences, with at least 5 years of work experience related to pharmaceutical reviews including at least 3 years of experience in a policy-related advisory role.

    knowledge of provincial and federal health procedures related to the approval and reimbursement of drugs
    knowledge of the guidelines and procedures of the Reimbursement Review program and drug-related health technology assessment projects
    ability to prioritize and multitask to deliver results efficiently and accurately , in a high-pressure environment with tight performance targets
    fluency in French.
