About the position:


Reporting into to the General Manager, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading our purchasing team and overseeing responsibilities of forecasting, inventory planning and procurement across the supply chain network.

Where you'll work:
Edmonton, AB | 3 days/week in the office and 1-2 days per week may be worked from home.


What you'll do:


  • Establishes, tracks and communicates branch targets related to inventory and service performance
  • Monitors level of supplier service and maintains working relationships with suppliers and their representatives
  • Assists in root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances to implement corrective/preventative action plans to avoid reoccurrence
  • Establishes goals and strategies for improved forecast performance for the branch and works directly with the Forecaster and Sales team to review performance and opportunities for improvement
  • Develops, mentors and trains purchasing personnel including a team of Supply Planners, Forecaster and Inventory Coordinator
  • Works closely with other department managers to meet and exceed branch goals

What you'll need:


  • University degree or College Diploma with two (2) years of specialized training (PMAC, APICS, or related work experience) as well as four (4) years of experience in Supply Chain, two (2) in which must be in a supervisory capacity.
  • Previous leadership experience leading teams of 15 or more people.
  • SAP proficiency preferred.
