We are looking for a Manager, Global Mobility to join us in the exciting work we do in Employee Resource Centre.

Reporting to the Director, Employee Resource Centre, it'll be your responsibility to operationalize the Global Mobility program and set the direction for the corporate workforce relocation initiatives.

In this position, you also get to lead a team of Mobility professionals in the effective management and delivery of the Global Mobility Program.


What You Get To Do:


Strategic Leadership

  • Establish value and longterm organizational commitment to the Global Mobility Program
  • Operationalize endtoend Global Mobility program with key partners
  • Design, implement, and improve effective Global Relocation standards, processes, technology and service delivery model and budget in line with industry benchmarking, best practices, corporate strategies, business unit strategies, legislation, and collective agreements
  • Develop KPIs and metrics to track program effectiveness and assess improvement investments
  • Builds and implements a business plan that aligns with HR and ATCO strategic priorities
  • Proactive engagement with the Talent, Payroll, HR Operations and Leadership to create a positive employee experience and return on investment
  • Provides strategic direction to external relocation service providers, assess results by compiling and interpreting data into reports on utilization, trends and forecasting to inform priorities, leaders and HR partners
  • Proactive leadership role to provide Global Mobility Program, trend, data, and analysis to stakeholders to drive value, manage costs and liabilities
  • Keeps tabs on relevant legislation and ensures program compliance

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build a hardworking and engaged team of professional Mobility Professionals
  • Develop and communicate a solid team vision, mission, role clarity and prioritization of deliverables
  • Manage the team training, development and succession plan to mitigate risk and advance the functions maturity
  • Coaches and provides consultation, informed recommendations, and guidance to collaborators

Functional /Technical Accountabilities

  • Designed and successfully implemented a Global Mobility Program including standards, processes, tools and governance
  • Successfully operationalized a Global Mobility Program in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Designs and delivers effective communication and training strategies and programs to stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Develops, maintains, and administers the Domestic and International Relocation Standards, including immigration

Consulting/Providing Expert Advice

  • Partner with HR business units' leaders to manage service provider expectations/costs and partner when required to establish mobility strategy in new geographical areas as part of ATCO growth initiatives
  • Provides input into projects that may require a mobility perspective
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the Global Mobility Program is accessed and delivered as designed according to standards and tax compliance requirements

Who You Are:


  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years Global Mobility technical experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience including global leadership collaboration
  • Canadian Global Mobility Professional Designation is required
  • Experience managing external mobility partners
  • Strong project management and communication experience
  • Affinity towards working in a continually evolving environment requiring ingenuity, innovation, and flexibility
  • Experience building rapport and partnering with key stakeholders at all levels including senior levels globally
  • Consultative approach towards clients with a cross cultural sensitivity
  • Strong strategicthinking skills with an ability to identify, recommend, and collaborate with team members to continuously improve the program and employee experience
  • Adept at navigating ambiguous situations; driving standardization where required, while delicately balancing a need for exceptions based on unique circumstances
  • Experience operating within a large, multisite or multinational organization, in a high volume, fastpaced, complex environment
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proficiency with
