Functionally reporting to the Director of Sales, Transmission Solutions, you will be expected to take decisive action for pulling together a winning bid and negotiating services contracts for Transformers and GIS.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Build customer relationships with a focus on Transformers midlife extension programs including bushing changeouts, regasketting, assembly, vacuum/oil filling and testing
  • Promote Monitoring & Diagnostic systems and spare parts
  • Lead the proposal and post bid development work scope for GIS installation/maintenance services.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Siemens Energy account managers, Business Unit Sales, GIS factory PMs and other Siemens Energy Business Units to identify proper sales and bid strategy for new services and scopes of work.
  • Manage monthly forecasting and maintain data quality in Salesforce.
  • Follow and/or enforce Siemens Environmental Health & Safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Director of Sales, Transmission Solutions and Head of Grid Technologies, Service

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (ideally Electrical or Mechanical) or higher
  • 5 or more years of experience in the utility industry and in Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS)/GIS/transformer installations.
  • Prior experience in GIS and Transformer, installation, operations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs would be appreciated.
  • Experience in estimating services projects with focus on construction and maintenance
  • Understanding of business, competitive landscape, legal/regulatory environment, needs/challenges of customers
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Willingness and ability to travel required (greater than 50% of the time)
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude

This job may be based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Siemens Energy offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness, paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position is 80,000-90,000 CAD.

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
