Fraser Health is seeking two community respirologists to provide inpatient and community outpatient services in Maple Ridge, BC.

Ridge Meadows Hospital is a University of British Columbia-affiliated community hospital with 157 acute care beds offering medical, surgical, as well as subspecialty care, and 24/7 emergency services with over 50,000 visits per year.

As a UBC-affiliated teaching site, participation in medical student and resident education is required.

The Respirology hospital practice includes access to ambulatory care suites for bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (linear and radial), and pleural procedures (thoracentesis, insertion of indwelling pleural catheters).

There is a full pulmonary function lab that operates 7-days per week with shared reporting amongst respirologists, including cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

Additionally, established pulmonary rehab, COPD and asthma programs operate from RMH and opportunities exist for expansion and physician-driven initiatives.
