    Schedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays

    Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Administrative Functions: Manage all administrative tasks associated with the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including orientation scheduling, benefits enrollment, payroll coordination, and leave management. Assist employees with accessing online benefits platforms and RRSP accounts, and address payroll concerns by escalating issues to the HR Manager or payroll department as necessary.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, HR policies, career development, and interpersonal issues. Attend daily crew meetings to address employee questions and concerns promptly. Proactively manage and resolve workplace conflicts and conduct necessary investigations to maintain a positive work environment. Conduct thorough investigations into any allegations or issues as required.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the administration of performance evaluations. Provide support to management and leadership in implementing performance management strategies, including corrective actions and/or disciplinary measures.
  • Talent Acquisition: Engage in talent acquisition processes, including screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating smooth onboarding for new hires. Represent the company at job fairs and other recruitment events.
  • Data, Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze HR data to support strategic decision-making. Regularly report on key metrics such as employee turnover and recruitment effectiveness. Monitor attendance management and bonus programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with company policy and procedure.
  • Employee Engagement Initiatives: Design, implement and participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and maintaining a strong company culture.

    Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
  • Previous experience in mining or a related industrial environment is highly desirable and considered a significant asset.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred, or a strong commitment to achieving this designation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the BC Employment Standards Act, Canadian Human Rights Act, BC Mines Act, etc.

    Technical Competencies & Skills

  • Able to work 12-hour shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal English, capable of effective communication across various organizational levels.
  • Upholds a very high level of integrity and confidentiality, with a strong capacity to act with discretion, respect, and empathy in all interactions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, adept at managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintains a positive attitude towards problem-solving and excels in fostering team collaboration.
  • Flexible and adaptable, capable of responding effectively to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with HR Management Systems (HRMS) such as UKG or ADP.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Specifically for the Human Resources Advisor role, we offer an annual base salary range of $85, $100,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.
