What will be your role?
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, as a Labourer at the warehouse located in Dartmouth NS, you will work closely with the

Shop Foreman and the Facilities Manager to perform a variety of duties involving tool use, lifting, carrying and managing equipment and machinery to provide support and aid to the tradespeople on-site.

Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
Manage house keeping activities when requested.
Maintain the work area (clean, safe and organized).
Lift and carry merchandise as needed.
Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals, while maintaining high quality standards.
Drive industrial vehicles to transfer materials.
Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
Performs various physical duties as assigned.
Performs some specialized tasks which may require onthe job training.
Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials.
High school diploma or equivalent
Strength to lift heavy objects
Ability to read technical plans and drawings
Attention to detail
Compliance with safety procedures
Good communication skills
Ability to work with different hand tools
Ability to work in cramped spaces and at heights
Flexibility to work with different crews
Knowledge of building materials and practices
