At the Upstream Lab, our research is driven by the desire to promote health equity and address social determinants of health.

Our work is broken down into three streams: 1) Integrating health and social care by addressing social needs of individuals in the healthcare settings; 2) population health management, and 3) data to enable proactive care.


We are currently looking for a
full-time
Research Coordinator II, (6 months, with possibility of extension) to support a variety of ongoing projects within our lab.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Collecting, summarizing and presenting available research evidence and key research findings to PI/study team, and refine research question as needed.
  • Plans and coordinates regular study team, and/or steering committee meetings.
  • Work with health service librarian and study team to determine and refine search strategy and protocol for reviews.
  • Conduct citation and full text review, data extraction and analysis, and help draft manuscript
  • Provide training to volunteers or other staff (as needed) to support various aspects of scoping review including citation and full text review and/or data extraction.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and recruitment
  • Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocol, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures.
  • Support analysis, publication, and dissemination of research
  • Ensures the smooth and efficient daytoday operation of research activities; acts as the primary administrative point of contact for internal research staff, study team members, patient partners or other stakeholders.
  • Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.
  • Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned and/or provide support to other research projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Health Science field (preferably with 5 years related research experience, Master's degree in Health Science preferable (with 3 years related research experience) or demonstrable equivalent combination of specialized education and experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to learn new skills.
  • Experience conducting literature searches and reviews
  • Experience with citation software (Zotero, Mendeley, etc) and review screening software(Rayyan, Covidence, Distiller SR)
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing workload.
  • Highly collaborative and solution driven
  • Highly motivated, selfdirected & possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with welldeveloped interpersonal and presentation skills.
