    Description

    About Clean Livin Addiction Counsellor

Clean Livin Addiction Counsellor is a private practice that specializes in helping people recover from substance use, gambling, and sex addictions in their own way. We are open-minded about recovery, especially when it comes to language and goals. Some of our clients find success in moderation, and many clients do not resonate with 12-step recovery or labels, so open-mindedness and a flexible approach are a must. We use a person-centered approach based on motivational interviewing that empowers clients to be at the center of their recovery. Many counselling modalities are used as long as they are rooted in a compassionate, client-centered therapeutic relationship.

    Job description:

The counsellor or psychologist is responsible for providing professional counselling services to our clients. A background in addiction is a must. Professional credentials that allow clients to be reimbursed through their benefits are also required. After an intake call, management will connect clients with the counsellor based on perceived fit. We give our counsellors autonomy to manage their client scheduling and the approach to therapy and are available for support as needed. The counsellor will use a compassionate approach to collaborate with our clients to set and achieve goals, understand triggers, heal root causes of addiction, and embrace a life of sobriety – or moderation, whatever the client chooses. The counsellor will be responsible for professional notetaking as well as assigning and following up on homework as applicable. The counsellor will be responsible for psychoeducation as required, as well as referrals in some cases. We ask that applicants be flexible for 15-minute consult calls. We need to be nimble and very responsive during onboarding, and once you begin working with a client, the pace will be yours to set collaboratively with the client.
