- Continually promote to employees and third-party subcontractors the importance of the Health and Safety Environment and ensure they are safety-focused and conduct their business according to our core values.
- Provide support, coordination, and technical expertise in environment, health, and safety, and support the site in training and developmental requirements.
- WCB management, in partnership with Human Resources .
- Assist management with incident investigation and reporting.
- Interpret and advise employees on compliance related to OHS and company standards.
- Assist with incident investigations to ensure cause and corrective actions are addressed.
- Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and/or Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (OH S) are preferred.
- Knowledge/experience with HSE Management Systems and audit tools, including Alberta Partnerships Certificate of Recognition (COR).
- Holds the following tickets: WHMIS, CSTS-09, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
- Able to effectively manage multiple sites' safety programs
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
- Pay is based on the work you do here and not your previous salary.

If you have a deep understanding of OHS regulations and possess over 5 years of dedicated experience in the oil/gas SAGD environment, we want you as our HSE Lead As the HSE Lead, your role will revolve around promoting a safety-focused culture among employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing technical expertise in environment, health, and safety.
Your knowledge of HSE Management Systems, NCSO certification, and relevant safety tickets will be instrumental in managing incident investigations and supporting WCB management. With your excellent leadership and communication skills, you will effectively lead and guide our team of HSE Advisors.
This permanent role will support maintenance projects. It will be a Monday-to-Friday position, but it requires a person to be flexible and available to meet and support the demands of 365 days a year of maintenance. The individual must travel to remote sites every week.
