About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our expanding team.


Brief duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.
• Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors. Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures.
• Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system following installation, replacement, or repair.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
• Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, heating and cooling systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and update maintenance records.
• Learn how to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarize yourself with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety regulations.
• Attend classes and training sessions to gain theoretical knowledge and technical skills.
• Help maintain a clean and safe work environment, including keeping tools and equipment organized and properly maintained.
• Learn how to safely use hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment.
• Observe and follow safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
• Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced electricians.

General requirements:

• Must have a good understanding of English.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• A valid driver's licence is an asset.

Salary:
$18.00-$23.00 per hour


Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
