    Description
    Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist
    Contract Duration 12+ months


    Overview:


    As part of Ontario's Ministry objective (PB4P – eForms SADIE) through a digital solution, the initiative aims to create a digital forms publication pipeline and establish a provincial library of electronic forms that will be readily available in all point-of-care systems and is integrated with provincial digital assets (i.e.

    EHR).


    Deliverables include:
    Design and create a Test Strategy for features based on the identified requirements
    Test requirements and identify any gaps
    Create and estimate DevOps Tasks for QA-related work
    Create and Execute Test cases for assigned areas
    Defect management for areas owned.


    Responsibilities:
    Provide testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools

    Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and connectivity/error handling.

    and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests)
    Develop test cases and execute these against the various components.

    Work closely with the Software Engineers and Business Analysts in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of the required systems.


    Must haves:
    Minimum 5 years in a Senior/Leadership QA role
    Minimum 8 to 10 years hands-on experience testing Enterprise Web Applications
    Strong working experience creating Test Strategies for complex systems
    Strong working experience using Microsoft DevOps Test Plans


    Desired Skills:
    Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
    Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information in a manner that is understandable
    Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language
    Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
    Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools
    Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities
    Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
