We are happy to partner with them now in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team.
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO role is broad in scope from developing to enabling to executing strategy for Cherubini Metal Works (CMW) and the Group of Companies.
Driving and managing change and innovation within the Group of Companies and engaging and communicating effectively with all internal or external stakeholders will also be key for the CFO.
Responsibilities will include:
- Generate and communicate clean, clear, timely, consistent, and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Creates annual budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts.
- Maximize profit contribution.
- Ensures business decisions are grounded and based on sound financial data.
- Leads capital investment projects.
- Manage risk and keep board of directors (currently owners) informed of any potential risks.
- Develops the financial strategy for CMW and the Group of Companies.
- Manages relationships with financial institutions, Government funding agencies, and key suppliers.
- Leads key performance indicators (KPI's) linked to the strategic goals of the company.
- Establish, lead and manage financial team which includes administration, finance, procurement, technical services policies and practices.
- Ensures ethical leadership and business integrity is present in all decisions.
- Protects the group against volatility, uncertainty, ambiguity and disruption.
- Ensures the finance and admin departments stay relevant and work with best practices.
- Anticipates problems before they occur and responds to opportunities before they are missed.
- Attracts, develops, and engages finance and administrative talent.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking stateoftheart practices; participating in professional societies.
- CPA Designation paired with postsecondary degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related function.
- 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in progressive roles.
- Knowledge and experience with financial statements, budget processes, audits, and cash flow management
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Proven time management, negotiation, and decisionmaking skills
- Ability to lead by inspiring confidence and creating trust
- Desire to continuously improve and adapt to a changing environment
- Unwavering integrity and ethical standards
