Casual/part-time Gardener - Courtenay, Canada - Sol-Mar Landscaping

Small established landscaping company looking to hire one person to work on a casual/part time basis. Ideally 2-3 days a week that are flexible with notice. All properties located within Courtenay and Comox. You will need your own transportation. Personal gardening tools are required, but all other tools are provided. The jobs are primarily weeding and cleaning up garden beds. We do not do lawns. Work in all kinds of weather. Must be able to communicate professionally with clients and work well alone or in a group.

Ideal for anyone wanting to make some extra money while working outside This is a great position for a hard worker who likes to get the job done.

Lots of room for advancement and increase in responsibility.

Position to start in late march/ early April.


Duties:

• Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Operate power tools and hand tools to complete gardening tasks.

Experience:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or farming is preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements is ideal but not required.
• Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools used in gardening.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
