In your role as part of the Mechnical/Electrical Systems Procurement team, you will:

  • Act as primary Procurement point of contact for all commercial activities related to Change Management on all programs:
  • Participate to Change Board meetings:
  • Issue Program Impacts Statements ("PIS") requests as well as Authorizations To Proceed ("ATP") letters to suppliers Request for PIS (commercial impact) based on contractual lead time for PIS.
  • Challenge PIS Supplier positions (inscope/out of scope) and/or costs submitted Challenge Supplier position based on contractual agreement, interaction with Engineering mainly (Toronto and Montreal).
  • Coordinate the contractual liability activities with suppliers, if needed interaction with Engineering (Toronto and Montreal), and Legal
  • Work with Program and BA Procurement to put a commercial strategy and a negotiation mandate together Interaction with PMO (Toronto and Montreal), Finance, Aftermarket, Legal
  • Support the commercial negotiation with the supplier based on the alignment with Systems Procurement. Based on the interpretation of the contractual terms and conditions. Interaction with suppliers.
  • Capture the Agreement In Principles with the suppliers. Redaction/negotiation of settlement agreements with suppliers. Interaction with Legal and suppliers.
  • Support coordination of supplier performance through governance reviews such as Program Management Reviews ("PMR"): EPMR at executive level from both BA and suppliers: i.e. directors, sr director, VP, GM are also invited and may join the review. Preparation for these meetings is done with Logistics (all site) and Supplier Quality.
  • Schedule PMR meetings and coordinate general schedule
  • Consolidate PMR presentation material for both internal and external stakeholders based on input from Supplier Compliance representatives & Logistics agent
  • Schedule internal and external dryrun preparation meetings
  • Track actions fulfillment in central repository
  • Manage daily contractual requirements execution such as multi aircraft sales, demo flight tests. Followup of contractual supplier obligations. Interaction with Montreal Finance.
  • Support the claims process:
  • Coordinating with Supplier Compliance representatives and Logistics agents to collect/gather the data related to chargebacks/claims for disruption in Production (FAL, BA sites or GCC), build strong contractual Bombardier positions with data gathering from Supplier Compliance representatives and Logistics agents for nonperforming suppliers. Interaction with all sites (which is impacted by the nonperformance) /consolidate the data collected based on the contractual articles to support the claim /chargeback to supplier. Interaction with Logistics agents, quality, methods, PMO and engineering of all sites potentially,
  • Manage and update the Systems Procurement Tracker File which captures Assertions, Chargebacks, Claims and Risks
  • Work closely with Systems Procurement
  • Support executive review meetings with Systems Procurement, Leadership team and executive account management
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Legal and Finance in case of dispute.
  • Lead commodity profile reviews to identify savings opportunities and build short term, medium term and long term strategy.
  • Lead market intelligence initiatives to ensure that Bombardier remains dynamic in a changing marketplace.

Qualifications

  • You hold a bachelor's and/or master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration or operations management, and/or have experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain;
  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience contract management/ procurement (an asset)
  • You have a strong sense of ethics and are customer focused
  • You have good analytical, planning, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • You have operational and financial management experience, legal terminology and interpretation of contracts are an asset
  • You understand the business relationship & dynamics between the Suppliers and Bombardier where it requires rigorous monitoring in order to maintain or improve supplier performance
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
  • You have strong language skills in French and in English, written and spoken.
