The payroll team is growing and we are seeking an ambitiousPayroll Coordinator to join Knix The Payroll Coordinator will support the Payroll team in processing and managing new hires, changes, timesheet processing & reporting, and offboarding tasks such as preparing and issuing final pay across multiple jurisdictions. As we continue to scale, this position will be the primary Payroll contact for our Retail Department team members.

The Opportunity:
- Onboarding and audit of new retail hires into our payroll system (Payworks)
- Work closely with the People team to ensure a smooth onboarding process, following up on any missing items
- Prepare and audit employee timesheets for payroll processing, working closely with the Retail team to identify and resolve any discrepancies
- Statutory Holiday Pay processing
- Offboarding of employees and preparation of final pay in accordance with local legislation
- Monthly timesheet reporting for departmental needs
- Ensuring that Knix's internal processes are followed as outlined as they correspond to local Employment Standards Legislation in multiple jurisdictions
- Provide backup coverage for US payroll, working with our PEO system
- Additional Payroll adhoc projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with full cycle Canadian payroll experience with US exposure is an asset
- Payroll designation: Working towards or completed National Payroll Institute Certification (PCP)
- Experience using Payworks, HiBob, and Sling an asset
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
