    Marketing Specialist - Retail Success

    As a Marketing Specialist focusing on driving retail success through marketing excellence, candidates with a background in agronomy or agricultural retail experience are preferred. Reporting to the Marketing Lead and receiving guidance from key stakeholders, the role involves developing and executing retail marketing tools to deliver substantial value to our network of independent agricultural retailers. This includes supporting both digital and traditional marketing channels. Collaborating closely with the Account Management, Agronomy, and Market Development teams, this role supports strategic efforts to enhance retail marketing and provide exceptional service to our customers through a blend of traditional and digital marketing strategies.

    The ideal candidate for this role is a self-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills, a proactive mindset, a collaborative nature, proficiency in handling multiple projects simultaneously, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail. An empathetic, energetic team player who can think creatively and adapt to change would thrive in this position, which also involves up to 15% travel within Canada.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leading the retail marketing support program to coordinate content marketing initiatives and ensure successful implementation of WinField and partner programs across both digital and traditional marketing platforms.
    • Utilizing basic agronomic knowledge to effectively convey agricultural concepts and provide training.
    • Offering support in email marketing, conducting market research, and developing marketing communications for both digital and traditional channels.
    • Collaborating with the market development team to oversee the maintenance and enhancement of WinField United Canada's website and retail marketing support, while also managing traditional marketing efforts.
    • Working with cross-functional teams to gather website requirements and ensure alignment with branding and marketing strategies across both digital and traditional channels.
    • Implementing SEO best practices for improved website visibility and monitoring performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement in both digital and traditional marketing avenues.
    • Keeping abreast of industry trends in web development and digital marketing to enhance user experience and drive retail success alongside traditional marketing efforts.
    • Coordinating with external resources for website development projects and traditional marketing initiatives when necessary.
    • Participating in the implementation of digital marketing strategies and campaigns on the website and traditional marketing channels in collaboration with the marketing team.
    • Proofreading, editing, and providing internal creative updates as needed for both digital and traditional marketing materials.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in the agriculture &/or marketing
    • Strong teaming skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Website and digital marketing knowledge.
    • Proven experience in project management and excellent time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe suites.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
