Join us as Fleet Performance Manager, and you'll be looking at a career-defining role based in Whitby.


As part of the Maintenance Team, your responsibility will be to measure, identify and drive improvements across all aspects of fleet performance (reliability, availability, efficiency and data quality).

This role will also be customer focused.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Measure, identify and drive improvements in all aspects of fleet performance.
  • Provide fleet performance information to the business as required.
  • Invoice and Liquidated damages review as per contract
  • To develop and manage KPIs for each contract (dashboard, weekly and monthly KPIs) and suggest appropriate targets for business KPIs.
  • To champion reliability and availability for the contract.
  • To sentence and attribute failures both internally and with the customer during commercial discussions.
  • To ensure data accuracy in our Maintenance Management System.
  • To recommend business priorities to best achieve business performance improvement to the Maintenance teams.
  • To develop business case justification for improvement actions to be implemented and facilitate the interface between departments.
  • To gather information for Master Planning generation.
  • To generate reporting of fleet performance and liabilities.
Educational Requirements

  • Engineering, Management or Commercial Degree or equivalent experience
Technical Knowledge / Experience

  • Experience of the Rail industry preferably within a maintenance environment.
  • IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Experience in an administration management role preferable
  • Previous experience of statistical analysis

  • SAP / Maximo knowledge
