    Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Identify, prepare and post journal entries
  • Prepare and design working papers and schedules to support financial reports and audits including investigation and resolution of discrepancies
  • Compile financial and regulatory reports for our Parent Company, including templates and analyses
  • Prepare sales tax and GST filings
  • Liaise with tax authorities and advisors in multiple jurisdictions to ensure statutory requirements are met
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements with disclosure notes
  • Perform analytical reviews of financial data and provide insights relative to performance benchmarks
  • Evaluate bank covenant compliance and complete reporting requirements
  • Operate in full compliance with internal controls over financial reporting
  • Provide ongoing support in a multifunctional team including support for ad hoc projects
  • The value you bring

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience (public or regulated company experience considered an asset)
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices in International Financial Reporting Standard ("IFRS")
  • Experience with consolidating multiple entities preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Hours: 37.5 hours/week
