La Win Supermarket is located in the heart of Fairview area in Vancouver. We are looking for a Full-Time Sushi Chef with demonstrated experience in making excellent Japanese food and sushi.


Responsibilities:

Prepare sushi and other food products including cooking rice, preparing raw ingredients, sushi rolling, cutting, sorting and packaging

Maintain nice plating and food presentation according to company standards

Responsible for preparation, organization and storage of ingredients

Maintain a clean and safe work station with routine cleaning of kitchen equipment


Requirements:

At least 6 months culinary experience with sushi preparation techniques

Understanding of sanitary practices and protocols, FoodSafe certificate required

Great attention to detail in a fast paced environment

Flexible availability to work on weekends, evenings and holidays is essential


Physical Requirements:

Lifting or carrying up to 50lbs

Constant standing

Maybe exposed to various temperatures


Salary:

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
