Job Summary

What is the opportunity?


As key member of the Client Relationship Team, the Private Banking Advisor partners with the Private Banker to bring to life our commitment to best in class advice and service to our clients.

You will also partner with the Private Banker to ensure we communicate by the means they desire, ensure we understands their goals and circumstances, and they see value in our advice and service.


What will you do?

  • You will employ strong communication to engage clients and build relationships.
  • As Private Banking Advisor, you will meet with all new Private Banking clients and outline how you will provide support as part of the client relationship team.
  • Identify new and existing client needs to deepen client relationship and provide customized advice.
  • Partner with the Private Banker to prepare for client meetings and lead client meetings focused on daytoday banking advice.
  • Deliver financial literacy education to Private Banking clients and their family.
  • Use critical thinking, business knowledge and partner collaboration to resolve complex client issues
  • Proactively educate and enable clients to engage with RBC through the channel of their choice.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:


  • Ability to articulate and convey clear communication in both written and verbal delivering an elevated client experience
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of banking experience
  • Team player who thrives on working and collaborating with others
  • Proven ability to deliver an elevated client experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven abilities to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to be agile, embrace change and adopt digital technology
  • Completion of IFIC and/or CSC
  • Completion of CSI Personal Financial Services Advice course or commitment to complete within 12 months
  • Basic understanding of investment fundamentals and thorough understanding of RBC products and services

Nice to have:


  • Degree/Diploma postsecondary education
  • Previous customer service/banking experience
