is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over 20 acres of indoor and 20 acres of seasonal outdoor growing space.


Quik's Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA.

Currently there is a full-time position for Bouquet Production Manager. This position presents a substantial career opportunity within the Quik's Farm team. This position reports to the Operations Manager

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Working in collaboration with the Operations Manager and shipping to ensure production demands are met on time.
  • Overseeing the production teams leads on the automated bouquet production lines.
  • Managing and maintaining quality standards and protocols.
  • Managing the scheduling and advising the Operations Manager of what is required for maximum workforce efficiency by forecasting and tracking labour to ensure cost/stem and cost/bouquet is in line with financial budgets.
  • Overseeing the administrative requirements to meet production needs.
  • Setting production targets.
  • Evaluating, adjusting, and creating procedures as needed for effective operations of production teams.
  • Report on key performance indicators including plan attainment and costs.
Contribute to the weekly/monthly planning meetings, providing long term workforce capacity outlooks and risks.

  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Acting as a liaison between management and production employees
  • Leading and encouraging production Team Leads to operate at a prominent level of effectiveness.
  • Build a dedicated team culture focused on feedback and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & requirements:


  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and highly productive environment.
  • Highly motivated and people oriented.
  • Willing to adjust to flexible working hours and increased seasonal pressures.
  • Ability to work well as a team member.
  • Possess strong organizational skills to handle the quick turnover of large volumes of products.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work with proprietary software.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience in related production environment an asset


Above all, we are looking for an individual who works efficiently, displays a level of leadership, genuinely cares about their co-workers, and has a keen eye for detail.


Education:
Completion of Grade 12. Post secondary business administrative certificate or degree will be considered an asset.

Experience in a cut floral company or further understanding of the floral business will be strongly considered a key asset.


Work Experience:

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role, ideally in a production environment with an exposure to using computer programs and administrative work.

Experience in horticulture/agriculture will be considered an asset.


Language:
Must be fluent in English language.

This position may require you to work on Saturdays and statutory holidays. There will be no Sunday work. Competitive wages are offered based on level of experience, job position, and value you can bring to the team.

Salary:
$26.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
