Responsibilities for a Security Guard:


  • Conduct internal/external security foot patrols of the site
  • Observe and identify potential suspects based on provided training
  • Prevent and deter shoplifting
  • Present a proper, professional, customerfriendly image at all times
  • Remove unwanted shoppers
  • Providing general information of the facility and assisting the clients with any security needs they may have.

Skill Requirements:


  • Emotional intelligence and good character judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and a consistently high level of customer service skills.
  • Good sense of judgment, integrity, accountability, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Effective listening skills and willingness to learn.
  • Act with honesty, integrity and understanding at all times
  • Fundamental understanding of confidentiality, privacy and rights of people
  • Physically fit to walk for up to 8 hours

Required Qualifications and Experience:


  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Mature, cordial disposition required, (minimum 18 years of age)
  • Exceptional experience in customer service settings required
  • Previous employment as a Security Guard (Not required, preferred)
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification (Not required, preferred)

Job Types:

Salary:
$17.00-$21.00 per hour
