The CIB's mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada. The CIB has invested over $1 billion in more than 30 projects in partnership with First Nation, Metis and Inuit communities across the country to help close the infrastructure gap and support economic participation.
The Coordinator, Communications (Internship), will be based in Toronto for a summer term and will support the Communications department in developing communications tactics which support strategic initiatives and investments. Reporting to the Manager, Communications, the Coordinator, Communications (Internship), will gain experience assisting in key aspects of communications planning.
The ideal candidate has strong oral and written communications skills, is a team player and is excited to engage on a wide variety of topics and functions.
Your responsibilities include:
Assist in developing communications plans to support loan announcements and project milestones
Assist the Communications team with development of Indigenous outcomes communications strategy by identifying new tools and programs to highlight the positive impacts of the CIB's Indigenous infrastructure investments
Draft communications materials including key messages, briefing notes social content among other materials
Help coordinate logistics and communications for external speaking opportunities by investment team members
Support social media campaigns by assisting with content creation, coordinating assets and collaborating with team members ensure timely execution
Contribute to a positive team dynamic and engaging work environment
Conduct research on industry trends, stakeholder engagement strategies and emerging communications practices
Your ideal profile:
Candidates who are members of an Indigenous community bring valuable experience and perspectives which are beneficial to this role
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in communications, public relations, media studies or a related field
Demonstrated interest and knowledge of infrastructure, project finance and impact investing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Bilingualism (English and French), an asset

Le/la coordonnateur·rice, Communications (stage), sera basé·e à Toronto pendant un semestre d'été et aidera le service des communications à élaborer des stratégies de communication qui soutiennent les initiatives et les investissements stratégiques. Sous la responsabilité du/de la directeur·trice, Communications, le/la coordonnateur·rice, Communications (stage), acquerra une expérience pratique en participant à des aspects clés de la planification des communications.
Le/la candidat·e idéal·e possède de solides compétences en communication orale et écrite, aime travailler en équipe et est enthousiaste à l'idée de s'engager dans une grande variété de sujets et de fonctions.
Vos responsabilités :
Aider à élaborer des plans de communication pour soutenir les annonces d'investissements et les étapes importantes des projets
Aider l'équipe des communications à élaborer une stratégie de communication sur les résultats pour les Autochtones en identifiant de nouveaux outils et programmes permettant de mettre en évidence les impacts positifs des investissements de la BIC dans les infrastructures autochtones et rédiger des documents de communication, notamment des messages clés, des notes d'information et du contenu social, entre autres
Aider à coordonner la logistique et la communication pour les communications externes des membres de l'équipe d'investissement
Soutenir les campagnes sur les réseaux sociaux en aidant à la création de contenu, en coordonnant les ressources et en collaborant avec les membres de l'équipe pour garantir une exécution dans le temps accordé
Contribuer à une dynamique d'équipe positive et à un environnement de travail stimulant
Effectuer des recherches sur les tendances du secteur, les stratégies d'engagement des parties prenantes et les nouvelles pratiques de communication
Le profil idéal :
Expérience précieuse et perspectives utiles pour ce poste, notamment chez les personnes issues d'une communauté autochtone
Actuellement inscrit·e ou récemment diplômé·e d'un programme d'études supérieures en communication, relations publiques, études des médias ou dans un domaine connexe
Intérêt et connaissances éprouvés en matière d'infrastructures, de financement de projets et d'investissement à impact social
Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale
Excellentes compétences en matière d'organisation et de gestion du temps
Solides compétences interpersonnelles et capacité à travailler en équipe
Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office, notamment Excel, Word et PowerPoint
Bilinguisme (anglais et français), un atout
