Full job description
Duties
- Operate wire cutting machinery to prepare project based specialized wire and cable cuts for shipments.
- Load and unload materials such as pallets and large reels of cable on and off flat decks, trailers and other transportation equipment.
- Pick, pack and assemble outgoing customer orders for shipping.
- Accurately receive and store incoming orders and materials into the warehouse.
- Perform regular stock counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory controls.
- Create shipping and production paperwork such as Bills of Lading, labeling and other documentation.
- Use shipping software programs such as Purolator, UPS, etc
- Utilize math, reading, and basic computer skills to fully complete and process customer orders while meeting deadlines and productivity targets
- Perform Housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.

Education & Experience
- High school degree or equivalent required
- 3 years of warehouse and distribution operations experience
- 6 months experience with project related assembly and or manufacturing finished goods
- Critical skills: wire cutting and production, shipping and receiving, inventory control
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to operate machinery and use hand tools
- Forklift Certification strongly preferred; the ability to obtain a forklift certification is required
- Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to follow direction
- Basic computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, be on your feet for extended periods and climb ladders
