Description
Responsible for a variety of tasks in the warehouse.

Under direction of the purchasing manager, will assist in regulating inventory using an ERP system, ship/receive/restock/return material, and maintain the shop.


  • A successful performer in this role will have the opportunity to grow their skill set with Pro-Western Mechanical and pursue a plumber apprenticeship in the field._

Responsibilities
- ship/receive materials
- enter returns
- pull/restock inventory
- pick-up, delivery and packaging of material
- co-ordinate maintenance & service of company vehicles, equipment and tools
- fabrication of small mechanical assemblies
- participate in safety program / complete inspections as required

  • Maintain a safe clean shop/warehouse/yard
  • Manual lifting required: 75lbs

Skills

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and problem solve
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Ability to thrive in an active environment and perform under tight deadlines
  • Positive attitude and the desire to continuously improve
  • Willing and able to accept direction and work independently
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs several times through a day

Education/Experience

  • Warehouse or construction experience
  • Forklift (PME) certification is considered an asset
  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Valid Driver License
  • Trailer hitching, hauling and loading/unloading
  • Plumbing experience is an asset

Wage
Wage will be based on experience
