Salary/Compensation:
$68,000 + benefits + 3 weeks' vacation

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Development Officer to join our dynamic, passionate team of professional fundraisers.

If you have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and enjoy taking initiative, this position is a great fit for you.

Reporting to the Development Manager, you will support and help implement annual fundraising and donor development activities. This role is diverse, interesting, and includes prospect research, proposal writing and event support.


Responsibilities:


  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to provide written/oral impactful presentations to donors and
  • Ability to work effectively, independently and in a team
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, produce quality work and meet
  • Detail and results
  • Demonstrated experience in applicable computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and donor databases).
  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge NXT is a strong asset.

Education and Work Requirements

  • University degree or College diploma in English/Communications with a minimum of two years of direct experience working in a fundraising/development environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Ability to travel to different schools and fundraising events in the GTA.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for work.

We currently offer the option of a hybrid working environment (office/home option with a minimum of 2 days working in person in the office) and summer hours during July and August.

However, due to the nature of this role, you may be expected to work in person for up to 4 days per week, depending on work obligations.

Occasional after-hours and weekends may be required.
