JOB DESCRIPTION
The
Director of Sales Development will oversee a team of sales professionals within the division to ensure they surpass sales targets.
He/She will also manage the personal sales portfolio, identify new market opportunities, and execute management directives for pricing, inventory, and product launches.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

Sales Management
- Manage the existing accounts and seek new business opportunities;
- Collaborate with management to prepare sales budgets and other related initiatives;
- Ensure that the sales team follows best practices in sales management;
- Provide quotation support, adjust pricing, and plan product offerings for the sales team;
- Participate in and prepare for customer visits, trade events, and engagements;
- Coordinate annual sales meetings and conduct biweekly sales reviews.
Personnel Management
- Responsible for conducting regular assessments of the sales team with recommendations for corrective action;
- Supervise the selection, promotion, evaluation, and recruitment of new sales staff;
- Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve sales objectives.
Organizational and other related responsibilities
- Guarantee that the sales team aligns with the division's strategy and the objectives of the company;
- Ensure that the sales team attains sales targets;
- Work with management to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to boost product sales, enhance margins, and align with corporate objectives;
- Work alongside purchasing and product development teams to conduct market research on new products, specifications, pricing, and demand;
- Collect, record, and utilize customer information efficiently for distribution, while ensuring the maintenance of an accessible pricing matrix;
- Perform other related tasks as required.
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5 to 8 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets*.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop sales teams.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Proven ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and sales management software.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in both English and French (verbal and written)
- Any other combination of relevant experience may be considered.
