DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to the Human Resources (HR) Manager
  • Conducting general orientation and onboarding of new hires
  • Manage and update employee attendance data for payroll
  • Keep detailed documentation on HR relation employee matters, discussions, and meetings.
  • Communicate company initiatives and events through effective meetings and memos
  • Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace atmosphere
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, terminations
  • Assist Supervisors with performance reviews and employee relations
  • Maintain employee information records using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Support the Human Resources Manager with administrative duties
  • Support and assist with the development and enforcement of Company Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality

COMPETENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree in Human Resources or business administration or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant HR experience
  • Understanding of Ontario Industrial regulations and labour codes is an asset
  • Experience with WSIB Claims management is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, with superior organizational and time management skills (ability to multitask)
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain detailed and organized records
  • Highly professional and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Responsible and dependable, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
