Position Information Job Title Trades/Automotives Endpoint Technologist Appointment Type Full-time Continuing Position Dates Full-Time Continuing Hours per week/FTE 35 About the Position We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trades/Automotives Endpoint Technologist to join our Information Technology Services team. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the functionality of our Center for Trades labs and teaching equipment while providing senior-level expertise in supporting endpoint devices and peripherals. Reporting to the Endpoint Analyst, the incumbent will play a crucial role in delivering technical support tailored to the specific needs of our trades-focused programs. Position Details Responsibilities:

Maintain the functionality of labs and teaching equipment within the Center for Trades

Support end users in trades-related areas, including automotive and heavy equipment scan tools, service information systems, diagnostic equipment with network applications, and trade-specific training software systems

Provide senior-level support for endpoint devices and peripherals, including troubleshooting complex issues escalated from lower levels of support

Provide technical assistance to staff and students, including software and hardware troubleshooting, basic audio-visual support in labs and classrooms, and computer and trades lab support covering hardware, networking, and software

Assist staff and students during labs, including facilitating instructor lab needs and ensuring smooth operation of specialized software and hardware applications

Required Qualifications

Post-Secondary Education in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering/Automotives/Trades

Strong analytical, planning and organization skills

Understanding of basic networking concepts including DHCP, DNS, VLANs

Understanding of basic hardware concepts including assembly and troubleshooting
