- Operate bandsaw machinery efficiently and safely.
- Adjust bandsaw settings according to job requirements.
- Ensure accuracy in cutting dimensions as per specifications.
- Maintain bandsaw equipment in good working condition through regular inspection and maintenance.
- Utilize measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares to ensure precise cuts.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings and cutting instructions accurately.
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and finished products within the shop floor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift.
- Conduct routine inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Assist in various shop tasks such as material handling, inventory management, and organization.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Support other departments with tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to overall shop efficiency.
- Proven experience as a bandsaw operator in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proficiency in measurement techniques and reading technical drawings.
- Valid forklift operator certification with demonstrated experience in safe forklift operation.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as required.
