    We're seeking a Media Capture Artist based in the Niagara Region to help bring our growing local JAM community to life through standout photo and video content.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Our Media Capture Artists are essential to capturing the energy, community, and fun that define JAM Sports. You'll attend JAM Sports Niagara leagues, tournaments, and events to photograph and film players in action, bringing the JAM experience to life through creative visuals and storytelling.

    This is contract-based work, scheduled as needed throughout each season, typically a few times per month depending on events, tournaments, and campaign needs. Most shoots take place in the evenings (6:00–10:00 PM), with occasional weekend opportunities.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Capturing high-quality still photography and/or video footage of JAM Sports Niagara leagues, tournaments, and special events.
    • Showcasing JAM players and community moments in a creative and engaging way.
    • Bring fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to every shoot.
    • Comfortably interacting with players and staff to capture authentic, candid moments.
    • Applying feedback constructively to continuously improve content quality.
    • Organizing and delivering edited files on schedule.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Creative & Energetic

    • You have a strong creative eye, love capturing real energy, and can think on your feet. You're confident in approaching players and finding fun, spontaneous moments.

    Own Gear

    • You must have access to your own photography and/or videography equipment. The ability to shoot both is a strong asset.

    Independent & Reliable

    • You can get to and from venues on your own. A vehicle or reliable transportation is required. You're self-motivated, organized, and dependable.

    Receptive to Feedback

    • You're comfortable taking direction and feedback to continuously refine your work.

    Innovative Mindset

    • You bring new ideas, experiment with creative techniques, and look for better ways to tell stories through photos and videos.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Access to reliable transportation within the Niagara Region area (own vehicle preferred).
    • Evening availability (typically between 6:00–10:00 PM).
    • Weekend availability for special tournaments or events.
    • Experience capturing live or sports environments is an asset.
    • Own professional camera equipment required.

    UNIQUE WORKING HOURS

    • This will not be a typical 9–5 position. You will be working primarily in the evenings, Monday through Thursday.
    • You may be asked to work the occasional Sunday or Saturday to capture tournaments.

    COMPENSATION

    • This is a contract position, with compensation based on experience and project scope.
