  • As an Insurance Services Support Advisor, this role supports the Sales and Service, Underwriting and Claims teams and our customers by completing policy changes, triaging, processing and/or escalating incoming documents, and responding to customer requests in a professional and efficient manner

Duties will include:

  • Managing all incoming documents and policy change requests for insurance customers in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing claims notices and assigning to the underwriting team for actioning.
  • Responding to customer inquiries received via a shared mailbox, ensuring that correspondence is handled and/or forwarded to the appropriate team within SLA.
  • Entering inspections into the policy system, updating the policy details as needed and escalating to the underwriting team when recommendations are identified.
  • Manually ordering loss control and underwriting reports as required.
  • Supporting requests to provide confirmation of insurance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships crossfunctionally and with external stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Refer risks to the appropriate teams for handling within established authority levels
  • Participate in Quality Reviews and audits as required.
  • Support maintenance of a compliant UW environment in relation to guidelines and rules.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations (completed or in progress) or equivalent required
  • 2+ years relevant experience in commercial insurance in an underwriting support role
