Production Manager Calgary
JOB REPORTS TO:
Branch Manager Calgary
DESCRIPTION:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget. Responsible for all aspects of construction projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
To plan, coordinate, direct and implement strategies and tasks required to develop and move forward work related to the Production Division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine the amount of necessary resources required (people, materials, crew)
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage employees and subs required to complete all Roofing, siding and exteriors projects
- Seek out new markets and contracts to grow exteriors (assistance from sales team will be required)
- Work together with the Sales division to maximize productivity and communicate timelines
- Manage Service division and auditors in troubleshooting Roofing and exteriors issues
- Communicate with homeowners, foremen, subs, sales staff, and office staff as required
- Coordinate work load and scheduling with Project Managers
- Determine labour requirements and dispatch workers to site
- Develop and implement quality control programs
- Direct and supervise workers through foremen and crew leaders
- Assist PM's with auditing projects when required
- Give feedback to sales team as required
- Coach crews in dealing with workrelated issues that arise in the course of projects
- Create safe work procedures and together with Project Manager; monitor crews as project is underway
- Ongoing training and developing of foremen and workers in better exteriors practices
- Deal with any homeowner issues related to deficiencies in roofing and exteriors
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic computer skills and aptitude
- Valid and clean driver's license
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the renovation and construction of the Exteriors portion of building projects
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modelling, leadership technique, production, and the coordination of people
- Knowledge of safety issues and Epic's safe work procedures
- Knowledge of basic principles and processes involving customer relations and satisfaction
- Knowledge of standards of quality required, related to The Alberta Building Code as well as Epic's code of workmanship
- Knowledge of your role within the greater structure of the company and the complete flow of projects
- Critical thinking in using logic and reasoning to identify correct or alternate solutions, conclusions, or approach's to problem. In short, competence in problemsolving
- _Monitoring _- assessing the performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective actions
- _Time Management_ - managing your own as well as other's time properly. This refers to having a good handle on prioritization.
- _Leadership _- able to motivate others, utilize people's strengths, and create a team feeling with those under your responsibility
- _Oral comprehension and expression_ - ability to listen to and understand verbal information and ideas being presented as well as to speak in such a way that others can comprehend.
- Inductive reasoning the ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions
- To work under supervision and direction from the General Manager
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Mobile with good overall body movement
- Extended phone usage
- Repetitive lifting between 50100lbs
- Able to work longer hours in nice weather

$80,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
