    We are looking for an Emergency Management (EM) Systems Administrator to support our Security Branch. The Emergency Management Systems Administrator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

    This position provides professional services by maintaining NRC's emergency communication tools, this includes daily administrator tasks, monitor and troubleshoot system issues with vendor and stakeholders and provide technical support and training to system users.

    The Emergency Management (EM) Systems Administrator supports the Program Coordinator in the management of the EM program for NRC; identification and management of equipment, plans, communication equipment to strengthen NRC's capability to respond to an emergency.

    The position also requires tracking various emergency management documents, such as the Building Emergency Response Plans, exercises and drills and report findings to Program Coordinator to ensure compliance.

    The position requires much coordination with regards to the scheduling of various trainings.

    Screening Criteria

    Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

    Education

    Successful completion of post-secondary diploma or a combination of education and acceptable experience in a relevant field.

    A college diploma in Emergency Management would be an asset .

    Experience

  • Basic* experience creating and maintaining reports with the goal of tracking data.
  • Basic* experience troubleshooting system issues.
  • Basic* experience providing client services in a government or security environment.
  • Basic* experience preparing communications in both official languages.
  • Experience performing presentations and delivering training would be considered as an asset .
  • *Basic – a few months and up to 2 years

    Condition of Employment

    Secret (II)

    A Secret clearance must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

  • Basic technical knowledge of information management systems, databases, document management, system configuration management (analysis and troubleshooting).

    Compensation

    Rates under review

    From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum.

    In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
